My EDUCATION

Qualifications and achievements.

My passion for learning brought me to UK where I developed professional fluency in the English language. Through education, I have built a strong framework of knowledge and skills that enable me to constantly build and improve my development skills.

September 2014

Masters Degree in Internet and Enterprise Computing

This course covered software engineering, internet programming, and enterprise management, and during this time I specialised in the architecture and development of large-scale Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) and developed my design and programming skills in OOP and .Net environment, with a focus on C#.

August 2012

Pre-Masters Degree in Computing

My pre-masters course focused on computing skills such as OOP (C++ and VB.NET) as well as academic language. This course also allowed me to build a strong foundation of Visual Basic and object-oriented programming.

July 2011

SKOLA Advanced English Course

This was my first experience of speaking or learning English in a practical and applied way and prior to this my competency was limited, however I reached an advanced level within six months. This course also included activities to aid and encourage integration with English culture.

August 2007

Oracle 10 (SQL and PL SQL) Intensive Course

This course enabled me to develop a variety of skills including a knowledge of the fundamental aspects of the system as well as the use of advanced features allowing me to efficiently design and tune the PL/SQL interface with the database and other applications.

2003 July

High Diploma Degree in Computer Technology

This was my first degree in computing which covered the history of the computer and a variety of different programming languages such as Basic, Fortran, Pascal, C, Visual Basic, and Data Structure.

My EXPERIENCE

Job roles in web development.

I’ve worked internationally in numerous jobs in web development and IT support and have received consistently positive feedback from employers, colleagues and clients.

Web Developer (Drupal/Magento) at Champions (UK) PLC.

I’m currently working as a mid-stack developer using Drupal CMS, WordPress and Magento. I’m responsible for planning and building various specialist eCommerce applications. As the most experienced team member, I’m also responsible for organising the team, developing their skills and sharing my knowledge. I extensively invest my own time into learning about new technology and how it could benefit the company. My current project is using Magento Community Edition to build eCommerce applications using PHP frameworks such as Zend, Symphony2, MySQL, CSS3, SASS and JavaScript.

August 2014 to present

Web Developer at The Webmaster Centre Ltd

I worked as a web developing using .CMS Drupal 6-7 to build client websites. In this role, I was responsible for developing new websites from scratch and using planning skills to ensure the client’s needs were met. My main focus was on front end development and theming using PHP, MySQL, CSS3, SASS and JavaScript, with a particular focus on ensuring client’s websites were up to date and secure.

March 2013 to May 2014

Web Developer .NET C# at Style Compare

In this role, I worked as a web developer using the .NET platform and was responsible for developing an admin interface for the company website using C# with HTML, JavaScript, XML and SQL Server 2008.
